     Welcome to Janelle Hallman & Associates

Janelle is expanding her clinical practice to include other seasoned counselors who have expertise and huge hearts for women with same-sex attraction as well as parents seeking to understand and love their lesbian daughters. At times, Janelle will serve as the primary therapist. At other times, one of her associates will serve as the primary therapist. In these latter cases, however, Janelle will be still be integrally involved, offering direct supervision to her associates and providing direct consulting (or intensive) sessions to the client. This way, her years of expertise will be influential in every case handled by her office. Currently, services are being provided by:

Janelle Hallman, MA, LPC 
Janelle is a licensed professional counselor in Denver, Colorado specializing in female homosexuality and emotional dependencies. She is also a popular international speaker on female homosexuality, human brokenness, redemption and healing. Her passion is to share God's word in a way that speaks to some of the deepest needs of broken and hurting people. She has also been an adjunct professor at Colorado Christian University and Denver Seminary and is the Executive Director of Desert Hope Ministries, a non-profit organization. Janelle completed her Masters in Counseling with honors at Denver Theological Seminary, is married and has one daughter.

 Janelle Hallman Professional Experience

Licensed Professional Counselor in Private Practice specializing in female same-sex attraction. Janelle offers counseling, counseling intensives, consultation, therapeutic retreats, audio and video resources, and speaking services to women with same-sex attraction, parents of lesbian daughters and other counseling professionals.

Ellen Haroutunian, MA
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Ellen went on to become integrally involved in ministerial work on various levels. In 1994 she completed her MA in Biblical Counseling and worked within a counseling internship under the supervision of Dr. Larry Crabb and Dr. Dan Allender. Over the past 12 year she has maintained a small private counseling practice focusing on general women's issues, in particularly, identity issues, marriage and relational issues, gender issues and spiritual formation. Ellen is a published author, popular speaker on global gender injustices and is completing a book manuscript on new missional paradigms for evangelicalism. Ellen is passionate about social justice issues, particularly the flourishing of women around the globe. She serves as Board Chairman for Street's Hope, a non-profit orgainzation that is designed to help women leave the sex-for-sale trade. Ellen lives in Littleton, Colorado with her pastor husband and two college aged kids and a retired racing greyhound.

 Ellen Haroutunian Professional Experience

Psychotherapist in Private Practice specializing in women's issues, abuse, identity and gender issues and spiritual direction. Ellen has spent over a decade listening and entering into personal stories and helping men and women to see the movement of God in their lives and to grow towards emotional wholeness and spiritual formation. Ellen offers individual face-to-face and phone counseling, marital therapy, and speaking services to churches and non-profit organizations. Westminster, Colorado (1997 – present).

Kelley Klassen, LCSW, M.Div.
Kelley Klassen is a seasoned social worker with over twelve years of experience of counseling and crisis intervention with children, teenagers, adults, and families. Her areas of clinical focus include grief and loss, emotional dependency and codependency, parenting issues, gender identity, relational struggles, adoption, attachment, depression, spiritual formation, and spiritual direction.

A confident and experienced small group facilitator, Kelley is also an engaging retreat speaker. An influential educator, Kelley is experienced in offering training seminars, educational forums, and school chapel services. She has co-ministered in pastoral ministry along with her husband, throughout the twenty years of their marriage. Together they have three daughters. For recreation, Kelley enjoys hiking, swimming, biking, running, and participating in sprint-triathlons.

Kelley Klassen Professional Experience

Private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado, 2007 – present. 

Public School Social Worker, 2007-present. Assesses and evaluates children with emotional, behavioral, academic, and/or social difficulties. Provides individual counseling and facilitates behavior support groups for students. Completes suicide and threat assessments. Implements and supports individual education plans for students.

Clinical Social Worker2002-2007. Provided clinical suport and treatment management to families through a private, non-profit organization. Responsibilities included:  crisis intervention, counseling, educational training, parent support groups, and professional mentoring.
